God has brought us together and unit us.
We come from different countries and everyone has its own history, but the gift of our vocation to seek God, unites us all in our diversity. Each one is called to receive in his heart the flame of Christ’s love … to be a source of live and love for his brothers and sisters ; “By this love you have for one another, everyone will know that you are my disciples” (John 13:35).
Saint Benedict says: “This, then, is the good zeal which monks foster with fervent love […] supporting with the greatest patience one another’s weaknesses of body or behaviour […] No one is to pursue what he judges better for himself, but instead, what he judges better for someone else […] They show to their abbot unfeigned and humble love […] Let them prefer nothing whatever to Christ, and may he bring us all together to everlasting life.” (RB 72)
A sister of the community testifies: “For me every sister is a gift from God, and each one of us has received any talent from God for working fruitfully. In this way we can ‘build’ together a beautiful community by the help of the love of God. One of the richness of our community : people of all ages and countries live together here – the youth as well as the elderly.”
